Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

The Equipment Engineer is responsible for managing and maintaining lab equipment and fixtures. Key tasks include troubleshooting issues, designing new equipment or fixtures, performing calibration and maintenance, and supporting technical needs such as drawings and documentation. The role also involves monitoring lab facilities and ensuring equipment operates safely and efficiently.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

1- Equipment and fixture management.

2- Lab equipment trouble shooting

3- Lab new equipment/fixture design

4- Lab equipment calibration

5- Lab equipment maintenance

6- Lab facility follow up

7- Other equipment related technical job or support(Drawing, technical etc.)

Job Requirement

Education: Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in a technical discipline such as: Mechanical Engineering - Electrical or Electronic Engineering - Instrumentation, Mechatronics, or similar fields

Good communication skill in English

Experience:  

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in equipment/fixture management, maintenance, or lab operations
  • Hands-on experience with troubleshooting, calibration, and preventive maintenance of lab equipment. 
  • Experience in designing or modifying fixtures/equipment is a strong plus.
  • Familiarity with technical drawings and documentation (e.g., AutoCAD or Soliworks ) is often preferred.
  • Knowledge of ISO standards or lab compliance practices can be an advantage. 

Knowledge:

  • Mechanical and Electrical Fundamentals: Understanding of equipment components, systems, and operation.
  • Troubleshooting Techniques: Ability to diagnose and resolve equipment issues efficiently.
  • Calibration Standards: Knowledge of calibration procedures and relevant standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025)
  • Preventive Maintenance Practices: Familiarity with maintenance schedules and methods to ensure equipment reliability
  • Fixture and Equipment Design: Basic knowledge of design principles and tools (e.g., CAD software)
  • Safety and Compliance: Awareness of lab safety protocols and regulatory requirements
  • Technical Documentation: Ability to read and create technical drawings and reports.
