Job Description

The Lab Improvement Engineer is responsible for driving continuous improvement initiatives within the laboratory environment to ensure operational excellence, compliance, and safety. This role focuses on enhancing lab processes, implementing EHS (Environment, Health, and Safety), QSA (Quality System Assurance), and 5S standards, managing documentation systems, and supporting ISO17025 accreditation. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across teams to maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant laboratory.

1. EHS/QSA/5S Management

Oversee and implement Environment, Health & Safety, Quality System Assurance, and 5S practices across the entire lab. Ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.

2. Lab Improvement

Projects Identify and execute improvement initiatives related to lab layout, workflow optimization, and resource utilization to enhance efficiency and productivity.

3. ISO17025 System

Establishment Develop and maintain systems and documentation to support ISO17025 accreditation, ensuring adherence to international standards for testing and calibration laboratories.

4. Other Assigned

Tasks Support additional lab-related activities as assigned by management. 

Job Requirement

Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant technical or engineering field. Preferred Majors - Industrial Engineering - Mechanical Engineering - Quality Management or Systems Engineering

Good English communication

Experience:

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a laboratory environment or related technical field.
  • Hands-on experience with EHS compliance, QSA systems, and 5S implementation
  • Familiarity with ISO17025 standards and laboratory accreditation processes is highly preferred
  • Experience in process improvement, layout optimization, and documentation system management.
