Job Description

ME Project Engineer is responsible for leading and executing manufacturing engineering projects to improve production efficiency, product quality, and cost-effectiveness. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to support new product development (NPD), process optimization, and the development of robust manufacturing solutions for outdoor equipment and tools.

Key Responsibilities   :

  • Lead and manage manufacturing projects related to outdoor products, from prototype to mass production.
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while ensuring cost-effective production.
  • Equipment, Gauge, and Fixture design for manufacturing outdoor products.
  • Work with suppliers and vendors to design high-quality equipment/machines/fixtures.
  • Work closely with NPI, IE, production, quality, and US teams to support New Product Development (NPD) and ensure a smooth transition from design to manufacturing.
  • Conduct process analysis, time studies, and failure mode analysis (FMEA) to identify and implement improvements.
  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and automation techniques to enhance efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot manufacturing and assembly issues and provide solutions to enhance production reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards, especially for durable, weather-resistant products
  • Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for outdoor power tools.
  • Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and best practices.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automation Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in outdoor products, power tools, or hand tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and manufacturing process simulation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proactive approach to troubleshooting production challenges.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Fluent communication in English is a plus.
  • Ability to travel to suppliers, factories, or field sites as needed.
