Job Description

Manage a team of engineers, guide resources and talents to achieve new project goals, and enhance the value of existing products.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

- Lead the R&D team to develop products that align with the global R&D strategy. Develop and drive an efficient product development organization to deliver products to customers on time. Review product specification with project teams.

- Contribute to the strategic planning and decision-making of senior management, aligning research and development strategies with long-term vision, mission, and goals. Supervise the R&D budget, monitor the cost and effectiveness of R&D activities to optimize resources, prioritize expenditures, and maintain professional standards.

- Lead the R&D team and collaborate effectively with all relevant functional teams (global and local) to achieve company goals.

- Lead, guide, evaluate, and cultivate professional R&D personnel to ensure the quality, effectiveness, and credibility of product development.

- Define clear goals and action plans for functional teams to achieve them, guide and involve the team in the right work.

Job Requirement

Education:

Bachelor/Master in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation or other related engineering disciplines.

Experience:

At least 10 years of experience in brushed and BLDC motor related work, with priority given to experience in the power tool industry of multinational corporations.

Knowledge:
• Familiar with the design and manufacturing process of brushless DC motors, with strong mechanical design capabilities.

• At least 5 years of team management experience.

• Experience in managing multiple international client projects is preferred.

• Good English oral communication skills, high standards of personal performance and professional ethics.

• Familiar with application for safety approval such as UL, CSA, CE, BS, SAA.

• Drive change, possess good learning and adaptability abilities.

• Motivate employees and develop a top-notch engineering team. Willing to interact with people from different industries and enjoy working with growing teams.
