Packaging Engineer

JOB SUMMARY
Create and maintain the packaging BOM, issue SER, packing method, etc. documents.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES
1. Develop packaging plans and coordinate tasks in a systematic way.
2. Monitor work progress and make adjustments in minimizing design deviation.
3. Coordinate with Engineering & QA to complete cross-functional tasks.

This position will be based at SHTP Factory, District 9 & Dong Nai Factory. Shuttle bus from Districts 1, 7, 10, 11, Go Vap, Tan Binh/Binh Duong/Dong Nai is available. 

• Degree in structure design or equivalent
• 3-5 years relevant experience in packaging structure design
• Knowledge of 3D CAD operation and model making
• Creative and self motivated
• Good communication, listening and interpersonal skills
• Good command of written and spoken English
• Able to work independently
• Work with marketing, development partners and operational teams worldwide to develop cost-effective packaging solutions in end users satisfaction and manufacturing efficiency.
• To meet milestones for packaging design development, qualification, and flawless program execution. 
• Work with testing partners to meet or exceed packaging targets, including design, cost, quality, and schedule. 
• To support activities to drive cost out of packaging through design, materials, assembly and logistics optimization. 
• Work with graphic designer to complete packaging artwork and maintain the packing BOM.
• Work with testing team to verify design structure
• Work with marketing to provide total packaging solution. 
• Work PIE, Production and engineers
• Work with packaging suppliers for the cost effective solution
• Work with customers for the packaging design and development
