JOB SUMMARY
Planning supervisor provides management and leadership to the team including assigning, directing and reviewing work product, training and promoting and complying with affirmative action programs to achieve equal opportunity objectives.
Accountable for supporting the team and ensuring plans are executed in line with processes and standard.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintains good employee relations through counseling and proper application of employee
relation policies
- Drive improvements within material flow by planning layout and space requirements,
reducing line impact, analyzing and reviewing product flow, and evaluating and proposing new
equipment options.
- Maintains safe work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and
procedures.
- Ensure a safe working environment is provided for all team members
- analyze inventory levels of Class A / B / C items on a regular basis to improve inventory turns
- Create and maintain production, work, and shipment schedules and prioritize job orders for production optimization.
- Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
- Complete status reports and data analysis to review and evaluate production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory and finished goods demand
REQUIREMENTS
Education
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, or a related field OR equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
Experience
- Proficiency with various software applications to assist with analysis and planning are required
- A strong ability to manage multiple aspects of the supply chain
- equivalent with 5 years manufacturing experience
Knowledge
- Excellent knowledge of production planning and quality control principles
- Experience in MRP
- Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems

- Coaching skills with the ability to motivate employees
