Job Description

The Senior Lean Development Specialist is responsible for managing and driving Lean initiatives across plant operations, ensuring a culture of continuous improvement. This role requires demonstrated Lean experience, leadership in improvement projects, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. The specialist will oversee 5S, LPA/LQA, and WAR Room programs; lead Kaizen initiatives; develop Lean training materials; and ensure adherence to site and corporate Lean KPIs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

  • Lead and coordinate Lean initiatives such as 5S, LPA/LQA, Kaizen, and WAR Room activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement projects, identifying and eliminating process inefficiencies and waste.
  • Establish and maintain Lean performance metrics to ensure teams meet and exceed departmental KPIs.
  • Conduct audits and assessments to monitor Lean implementation effectiveness and recommend corrective actions.
  • Facilitate and lead Kaizen events, engaging cross-functional teams in structured problem-solving activities.
  • Develop and deliver Lean training programs and materials to enhance capability across all levels.
  • Mentor and coach engineers, operators, and team leaders in applying Lean principles effectively.
  • Promote and sustain a culture of continuous improvement by integrating Lean thinking into daily operations.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams to align Lean projects with business objectives.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Power BI to analyze data, generate reports, and provide insights for improvement.
  • Support visual management systems, documentation control, and standardization of best practices.

Job Requirement

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Lean Development, Continuous Improvement, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Proven expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma methodologies (Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred).
  • Strong leadership, facilitation, and project management experience.
  • Experience developing and delivering Lean training programs.

Knowledge:

  • Deep understanding of Lean principles, value stream mapping, process analysis, and waste elimination.
  • Familiarity with 5S, LPA/LQA, Kaizen, and visual management systems.
  • Awareness of manufacturing processes and quality systems. 

Functional Skills:

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with Power BI and digital reporting tools is a strong advantage.
  • Analytical thinking, problem-solving, and stakeholder communication.
  • Strong coordination and cross-departmental collaboration skills.

Other Abilities:

  • Excellent communication in English and Vietnamese (fluent oral and written).
  • Minimum IELTS equivalent score of 5.5+ or proven professional English proficiency. High attention to detail, initiative, and accountability in driving results.
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and influence others toward Lean adoption

Working Location:

  • Tan Phu Trung IZ - Cu Chi - HCMC Either Dầu Giây - Dong Nai, depending on the candidate’s place of residence  (We are providing shuttle bus from HCM, Binh Duong and Dong Nai)
