Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

  • Advanced quality engineer’s major responsibility is to support new product development related advanced quality engineering activities (APQP) for inhouse battery/charger/cells categories.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES

- Follow up production readiness of New Product Development projects as assigned including system level validation, component and supplier readiness as below listing.

- Follow up all qualification run; ESB/EB/QB/PR issue closures and participate NPD global TCs posting qualification rediness sheet(QRS).

- Prepare product control plans per PFMEA risk asessment and refering to product CTQs

- Prepare assembly check cards for production level inspections.

- Review and follow up assembly fixture qualification in NPD manufacture (Cpk & GR&R etc)

- Oversee new part qualification per Supplier Part Qualification Requirements (SPQR) with SQE and provide new part SER approval.

- Participate Design For Manufacturing & Assembly (DFMA) meetings with CFTs providing necessary comments.

- Drive customer complaint/warranty case handling per BRK global customer service direction.

- Support manufacture level product quality issues for self released models upon QC leader request.

- management KPI direction.

- Leverage the lessons learned from previous projects, customer complaints, and warranty

- Work with team to ensure cell supplier performance is regularly reported and that  appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented to make sure no line stopping and recurrence of non‐conformances

- Monitor and improve cell supply chain KPI’s, including DPPM and line incident

- Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with Battery Team and cell suppliers and verify the implementation of solutions

- Expired cell disposition

- Follow up with cell ORT arrangement and containment when issue occur

Job Requirement

REQUIREMENTS

Education

- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or equivalent Engineering degree.

Experience

- At least 2 years experience in quality engineering area

Knowledge

- Fluent English

Functional Skills

- Familiar with Electrical products and manufacturing processes, charger/power supply industry a plus

- Excelent in written/spoken English and Mandarine.

- Proven quality system experience and familiar with quality standards such as ISO9000, TS16949, preferred with basic Six Sigma knowlege/practsie.

- Good knowledge in SPC Tools, FMEA, DOE and GD/T etc

- Good interpersonal skill and team player.
